Angle 1 and Angle 3 are called as Vertically Opposite angles.

∠1 + ∠2 = 180° (Linear Pair Angles)    -  (1)

∠2 + ∠3 = 180° (Linear Pair Angles)    -  (2)

Equating the above given two equations, we get

⇒      ∠1 + ∠2 = ∠2 + ∠3

⇒      ∠1 = ∠3

Hence, proved.
