Given :  A fig

To Find :  Value of x & y

Solution  :

OA = OC = Radius = R

Sin30° = OE/OC

1/2 = OE/ R

OE = R/2

CE = R√3/2 = BE

AE = AO + OE = R + R/2 = 3R/2

tanx = BE/AE = (R√3/2)/(3R/2)

tanx = 1/√3

x = 30°

∠abd = (1/2)∠aod

∠abd = (1/2)×90° = 45 °

∠abe = 180°-90°-x

∠abe = 180°-90°-30° = 60

∠abe =∠abd + y

60° = 45° + y

y = 15°
