Answer:-

  • Hypotenuse ,H = 2
  • Perpendicular ,P = 1
  • Base ,B = √3

We have to calculate the value of tan∅ & Sec∅ .

As we know that

:\implies tan = P/B

Substitute the value we get

:\implies tan∅ = 1/3

Now, calculating the value of sec ∅

:\implies Sec∅ = H/B

substitute the value we get

:\implies Sec∅ = 2/3 (You can also simplify if you want )

  • Hence the value of tan∅ & Sec∅ are 1/3 & 2/3.

Answer:

Question :-

  • From the given figure value of tan theta and sec theta? hyp= 2, opposite adjacent side = 1, adjacent side= √3.

Find Out :-

  • Thee value of tanθ & Secθ.

Solution :-

Given in the question :

  • Hypotenuse = 2
  • Perpendicular = 1
  • Base = √3

Let's calculate tanθ :-

As we know that

\curlyeqsucc tanθ = \tt{\dfrac{Perpendicular}{Base}}

Substitute the value we get

\curlyeqsucc tanθ = \tt{\dfrac{1}{\sqrt{3}}}

Now, calculating the value of secθ

\curlyeqsucc Secθ = \tt{\dfrac{Hypotenuse}{Base}}

substitute the value we get

\curlyeqsucc Secθ = \tt{\dfrac{2}{\sqrt{3}}}

Therefore, the value of tanθ & Secθ are 1/√3 & 2/√3.

Extra Knowledge :-

Hypotenuse :

  • A hypotenuse is the longest side of a right triangle. It's the side that is opposite to the right angle (90°).

Perpendicular :

  • Perpendicular lines are lines that intersect at a right (90 degrees) angle.

Base :

  • In mathematics, a base or radix is the number of different digits or combination of digits and letters that a system of counting uses to represent numbers.
