Let the common multiple of the ratio 10:9 be x.

Then the numbers are 10x and 9x respectively.

Their product is 360.

• 10x × 9x = 360
• x × x = 360/10 × 9
• x × x = 4
• x = 2

• 10x = 10 × 2 = 20 and 9x = 9 × 2 = 18
• The required numbers are 20 and 18 respectively.
