hey buddy actually it means that when wood is not dried properly it changes it shape and even bends e.g. in.some homes u might have seen that doors are a little curved it means the same pls answer as brainliest pls

Meaning of And all the boards did shrink .In this paragraph is in the olden days the wood used to shrink when it was hot so the deck would become smaller due to which there would be leakes in the boat. the meaning of the paragraph is that there is water everywhere but they can't drink it and the weather is hot due to which the boards are literally sinking and causing leaks in the boat.
