From the square card board of side 21 cm,a circle of a maximum area is cut out.Find the area of the cardboard left.If diameter of the maximum area=21 cm

area of square =side ×side
=21×21=441 cm sq.
area of circle=
pir {}^{2}
=346.5 cm sq.
so cardboard left =area of square-area of cirlce=441-346.5
=94.5 cm sq.
