Step-by-step explanation:

sum of( x²+x+1) and (x²-x+1) is

x²+x+1+x²-x+1

= 2x²+2

if 2x²+2 substract from -1/2x² -2/3x+12 then

= -1/2x²-2/3x+12-(2x²+2)

= -1/2x²-2/3x+12-2x²-2

= -(2+1/2)x²-2/3x+10

= - 5/2x²-2/3x+10
