Answer:

The height of the tower is 28 m.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : From the top of a 7m high building, the angle of elevation of the top of a cable tower is 60° and the angle of depression of the foot of the tower is 30°.

To find : The height of the tower?

Solution :

Apply trigonometric formulas,

In ΔADC,

\tan 30^\circ=\frac{OC}{AD}

\frac{1}{\sqrt{3}}=\frac{7}{AD}

AD=7\sqrt{3}

and

\tan 60^\circ=\frac{ED}{AD}

\frac{1}{\sqrt{3}}=\frac{ED}{7\sqrt{3}}

ED=21

EC=ED+DC

EC=21+7

EC=28

Therefore, The height of the tower is 28 m.
