tan30 =  \frac{perpendicular}{base}  \\ \\ \:  \:  \: \frac{1}{ \sqrt{3} }   \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:   \:   =  \frac{12}{base}  \\  \\ base =  \sqrt{36}  \\  \\ base = 6cm
