tan 30° = DE/CD

=1/3=60 - h/CD

CD= root3 (60 - h)

Step-by-step explanation:

in triangle ABE

Tan 60° = BE/AB

root3 = 60/CD

CD=60/root 3

now if you compare the two,

root3(60-h) = 60/root3

3(60 - h) = 60

3h = 120

h =120/3

h= 40
