n = 2

Explanation:

Building height = 80  m

The line joining the top of the building to the point where it hits the ground makes an angle of 45°

Tan 45° = Height of building / horizontal Distance

=> 1 = 80/ horizontal distance

=> horizontal Distance = 80 m

Velocity =  10 n

Time taken to cover 80 m  horizontally   =  80/10n  = 8/n  sec

Time taken to cover 80 m vertically  = 8/n  sec

S = ut + (1/2)at²

S = 80 m    u = 0    a = g = 10 m/s²

0   + (1/2)(10)(8/n)²  = 80

=>  (8/n)² = 16

=> 8/n = 4

=> n = 8/4

=> n = 2

n = 2
