Step-by-step explanation:

Angle of depression is 60 degree

Then the height of the lighthouse is 90 metres

We want the distance between the lighthouse and the ship.

Opp=adj/hyp

tan60degree = root3

So,

90/root3

We split 90 as 30*root3*root3

So root3 and root3 gets cancelled.

The answer is 30root3.

30*1.73=51.90
