From the top of a tower of height 150 m the angles of depression of the
top and bottom of a pole are 30° and 45° respectively. Find
(i) how far the pole is from the bottom of a tower.
(ii) the height of the pole. Use root 3 = 1.732

tan45=150/x

1=150/x

x=150m away from tower

(ii)tan30=x/150

1 \div  \sqrt{3}  = x \div 150

 \sqrt{3} x = 150

x = 150 \div \sqrt{3}

3 \times 5 \times 10  \div  \sqrt{3}

50 \sqrt{3}

86.6

now this can be subtracted by real height of tower

150 - 86.6 = 63.4
