Let Ab be the tower and CD be the pole.

∴AB=50m, ∠ADE=30, ∠ACB=45

ED=BC and EB=CD as EDCB becomes a rectangle and opp. sides are equal.

Tan C=AB/BC

Tan 45=50/BC

BC=50m

∴Tan 30=AE/ED

1/√3=AE/50

AE=50/√3 = 50/1.73 = 5000/173

AE=28.9m aprox

∴DC = EB = AB-AE = 50 - 28.9

DC=21.1m

∴The pole is 21.1 m tall
