Answer:

Height of the building = 12m

Step-by-step explanation:

let ED be the height of the building = 9m

In ECD

tan60° = ED/CD

tan60° = 9/CD

CD = 9/√3 m

ED = BC = 9 m

CD = EB = 9/√3 m

In ABE

tan30° = AB/EB

1/√3 = AB/EB

AB = 1/√3 x 9/√3 { since EB = 9/√3}

AB = 9/3

AB = 3 m

Height of the opposite house

= (AB + BC) m

= (3 + 9) m

= 12 m
