ABC is a right angled traingle

Given

AB = 3

AC = 5

:. By Pythagoras Theorem ,

AB² + BC² = AC²

BC² = AC² - AB²

BC² = ( 5 )² - ( 3 )²

BC² = 25 - 9

BC² = 16

BC = 16

BC = 4

\bf\underline\green{i)~Sin~A}

Sin A = \frac{opposite~side~to~A}{hypotenuse} = \frac{4}{5}

\bf\underline\green{ii)~Cos~A}

Cos A = \frac{adjacent~side~of~A}{hypotenuse} = \frac{3}{5}

\bf\underline\green{iii)~Tan~A}

Tan A = \frac{opposite~side~of~A}{adjacent~side~of~A} = \frac{4}{3}

\bf\underline\green{iv)~{Sin}^{2}{A}{+}{Cos}^{2}{A}}

Sin²A + Cos²A = \frac{4}{5}^2{+}\frac{3}{5}^2

\frac{16}{25}{+}\frac{9}{25}

\frac{16 + 9}{25}

\frac{25}{25}{=}{1}

:. Sin²A + Cos²A = 1
