Hari was a thief, and wanted to steal Anil's money, but as he moved away from the house to the railway station, he felt guilty because Anil was the only one who know Hari well at that place and also Anil taught Hari how to read and write, so Hari felt sorry and came back home again with the wet money. Probably, Anil knew that Hari was a thief when he examined the bundle of money, but Anil didn't handed Hari to the police maybe because he want to give another chance to Hari. That's why next day when Hari woke he smiled at Anil in the most appealing and genuine way to thank Anil.
