From top of tower oh h 40m a ball is projected upward with a speed of 20 m per sec at an angle of elevatn of 30 then ratio of total time taken by ball ro hit the groynd to total time taken by ball to come at same level as top of tower

H=\frac{20^{2} sin^{2} 30^{o}}{2*10}

H=\frac{400*0.25)}{20}

h=5m

total height is 5+40=45 m

time of flight =\frac{2*20*sin30}{10}

                     =2 seconds

time of free fall= \frac{\sqrt{2} *45 }{10}

                       =\sqrt{9}

                       =3seconds

the total time taken to reach the ground is thus:

                                1+3=4 seconds

thus the ratio is 4:2
