sin A cos B - cos A sin B = sin ( A - B )

so sin (78-18)= sin 60 =√3/2

Explanation @::

Given Equation is in the form of sin A cos B - cos A sin B.

We Know that sin A cos B - cos A sin B = sin (A - B).

Here A = 78, b = 18.

Therefore sin 78 cos 18 - cos 78 sin 18 = sin(78 - 18)

= sin 60.

= root 3/2.

Hope this helps!
