Answer:

a1)The poet in 'Fire and Ice' confesses that he has 'tasted of desire' which means he has experienced desire and its effects. He has had many worldly desires which he compares to fire and then admits that they have a destructive quality. He speaks from first hand experience.

a2)The poet takes side with those who believe that the world will be destroyed by fire. Frost connects fire with desire. The poet favors fire because he doesn't want hatred towards any other human being and desire is much better than hatred, that's why poet favours fire rather than ice.

b)any poetic device is Alliteration. Alliteration is the repetition of a sound or letter at the beginning of multiple words in a series.
