From when with the study of history of sports start?

It's not mandatory to know the history but it's good if you do. Any sportsman or enthusiast would prefer to know as much as possible about the sport he is interested in. History gives you an account of what has been achieved and what can be achieved in the near future. It brings to you the mistakes committed by your predecessors. Its just a matter of spending few hours in knowing the sport though there's a lot to understand in any game. With a better understanding of the sport your performance will have a boost and indeed you'll be mentally matured to play the game.
