Answer:

The countries through which the equator passes through are :

1) Ecuador

2) Colombia

3) Brazil

4)Sao Tome & Principe

5) Gabon

6) Republic of the Congo

7)Democratic Republic of the Congo

8) Uganda

9) Kenya

10)Somalia

11) Maldives

12)Indonesia and

13) Kiribati.

Such places have a very hot and humid temperature throughout the year ( especially during the summer when the sun is directly overhead ) . Du to it's extreme climatic conditions 2 seasons are widely recognized in the equatorial regions , they are - summer ( when the sun is directly overhead ) and monsoon ( when the places in these regions are more wetter than usual since regions near the equator have earned their name for being wet for most part of a year ) . Rains frequent equatorial regions because due to the hot climate the air rises , the air from the sea condenses it and the heavy amount of air which evaporated will come back to Earth causing a heavy downpour .

Regions near the equator like - India too has the same type of climatic conditions as in equatorial regions .

Hope you find my answer useful!!!
