2019 World Para-Swimming Championships was firstly scheduled in Malaysia but due the political and ideological beliefs of Malaysian state about Israeli's athletes forced the IPC decided to change the host country.

As Malaysian authorities failed to satisfy IPC for providing the necessary guarantees that Israeli Para swimmers could participate then IPC President Andrew Parsons said when a host country excludes athletes from a specific nation then they have no option but to look for a new Championships host.
