From which direction would the winds blow to bring monsoon rains to West bengal, Lucknow, and Delhi

The winds bringing rain to Lucknow, Delhi and West Bengal come from Southwest India.

They are formed due to change in pressure as the land heats up in the summer.

These winds flow up north and are blocked by the Himalayas and thus this brings rain to most parts of northern India.
