Aluminium is extracted from the ore named Bauxite.

Presence of Bauxite : Bauxite is majorly found in the top soil region of tropical and sub-tropical countries. Some of the places from which it is extracted are : America, Brazil, Africa, Australia and China.

In India it is majorly produced in the Deccan Plateau and Madhya Pradesh.
