A) The following tropical fruits are native to South America, and were first introduced in Peninsular India (especially in the humid western coast, covering Goa, Kerala, and the Konkan) by the Portuguese in the 16nth and 17nth centuries. Some of these reached India via Ceylon, which was then a Portuguese colony. The Catholic missionaries too played a major role in the distribution of these Latin American fruits throughout tropical Asia:

1. Pineapple

2. Papaya

3. Guava

4. Sapota/Chicku

5. Custard Apple/Seetaphal

6. Passionfruit

7. Avocado

8. Cashewnut

B) The following fruits are native to Southeast Asia, and were first introduced to Ceylon (Sri Lanka) by the Portuguese, the Dutch and the English colonialists, who ruled Ceylon from the 16nth century to the mid 20th century in the respective order. Note that most of Southeast Asia were colonies of the three above mentioned powers. These fruits however, entered India not before the late 19nth Century, and were brought by British plantersand naturalists, and were introduced in two of the ultra tropical regions of Peninsular India- The Nilgiri hills (lower slopes) of Madras and Travancore:

1. Rambutan

2. Durian

3. Mangosteen

 \mathfrak{vegetables}

I do not know about the introduction of exotic vegetables in India by Europeans. Nevertheless, I've heard that Potato, Tomato, and certain roots such as Cassava (from which Tapioca is derived) were brought by the Portuguese from South America.
