We can form simultaneous equations from this.
Let the total number of fuji apples be x and that of delicious apple be y.
Now The total cost of the apples will be :
3x + 2y = 80
The total apples will be :
x + y = 30
Solving the two simultaneously we have :
x = 30 - y
substituting in the first equation we have :
3(30 - y ) + 2y = 80
90 - 3y + 2y = 80
-y = -10
y = 10
x = 30 - 10 = 20
We have :
20 Fuji apples and 10 Delicious apples.
