The human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) is a virus that infects humans and can lead to an advanced disease state called acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). There are two types of the HIV virus: HIV-1 and HIV-2. HIV-1 is more virulent and the dominant strain seen globally.

AIDs stands for Acquired Immuno Deficiency. It is fatal disease. The disease of AIDs is caused by retrovirus ( a RNA virus ) known as Human Immunodeficiency Virus ( HIV ).
AIDs virus attacks White Blood Corpuscles ( WBCs ) or lymphocytes.
So, far no medicine of action has been developed to cure AIDs. So one can take some prevention methods for controlling AIDs ;
☛ People should be taught about AIDs transmission.
☛ Disposable syringes or needles should be used for injection.
☛ Sexual contact with unknown person should be avoided.
