⏩ Each state of India is divided into several districts for the ease of administration of the country .

⏩ The district magistrate has the following functions :

>> He is responsible for the maintenance of law in a district .

>> He collects the land revenue from the district .

>> He is associated with crisis and disaster management .

>> He is responsible for the conduction of the criminal as well as the revenue court in the district .

⏩ The district magistrate has lower civil servants to ease his work .

⏩ These civil servants like IAS , IPS  are of different departments like Police , Administration etc.
