Plants and trees give us beautiful flowers, nutritious fruits, herbal medicines, oxygen etc to everyone without any hesitation. But humans tendency is to take things for granted has become hazardous for the mother earth, degrading environment with the pollution and chopping trees to make houses etc. This scarcity of trees in forest runs river dry and damages natural habitat of species that live in the forest. To overcome and repair the damage the Telangana government planned “Telangana Ku Haritha Haram” a movement by the Telangana government devoted for increasing the tree count or tree coverage area in each and every district of Telangana state.The stage is all set and everything has been put in place to launch the prestigious people-centric programme of ‘Telangana ku Haritha Haram’ on July 3, 2015. The programme was conceived a year ago by the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, with an objective of improving green cover, maintaining ecological balance and ensuring sustainable livelihoods.
