5x = 35

x = 7

(b)Let the no be x

$\frac{1}{3}x\ -5\ =\ 3$

$\frac{x}{3}=\ 3+5$

$\frac{x}{3}=\ 8$

$x= 8\times3$

x = 24

(c) Let the no be x

$\frac{2x}{5}+3\ =\ 4$

$\frac{2x}{5}=4-3$

$\frac{2x}{5}=1$

$x\ =\ \frac{1\times5}{3}$

$x = \frac{5}{3}$
