\boxed{Answer} :-

let L :B = 3x:2x

A/q,

4(2x+8) - 2(3x+2x) = 16

8x+32 -10x = 16

2x = 16

x = 8

So, length = 8*3 = 24 (Ans.)

Answer:

24 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Let, the common multiple be 'x'

l of rectangle = 3x

b of rectangle = 2x

Let, 'p' be the perimeter of rectangle

p  = 2(l+b) = 2(3x+2x)= 10x....(1)

According to question, (in square)

Side = 2x+8

From the question, perimeter of square is 16 m more than that of rectangle... So,

perimeter of square= perimeter of rectangle + 16

perimeter of square - perimeter of rectangle = 16

4(2x+8) - 10x = 16 (from eqn 1 perimeter of rectangle = 10x)

8x+ 32 - 10x = 16

-2x = 16-32

-2x = -16

x = -16/-2

x= 8 cm

Hence, length of rectangle is 3x= 8*3= 24 cm

I hope it helps you
