Need to know:

  • Before we find the answer u need to know that in a right angled Triangle Sum of squares of two sides is always equal to the square of the third side.

Solution:

\sf (a) \color{lightgreen} 0.5cm,1.2cm \: and \: 1.3cm

Sum of squares of two sides

\sf = \color{lightgreen} {0.5}^{2} + {1.2}^{2} = 1.69cm

square of other side

\sf = \color{lightgreen} {1.3}^{2} = 1.69cm

Here, Sum of squares two sides of Triangle is equal to the square of the other side.

Hence, it is an right angled Triangle

_____________________

\sf (b) \color{purple} 2.4cm,3.2cm \: and \: 7.9cm

Sum of squares of two sides

\sf = \color{purple} {2.4}^{2} + {3.2}^{2} = 16cm

square of other side

\sf = \color{purple} {7.9}^{2} = 62.41cm

Here, Sum of squares two sides of Triangle is not equal to the square of the other side.

Hence, it is not an right angled Triangle

_____________________

\sf (c) \color{orange} 5.0cm,5.25cm \: and \: 7.25cm

Sum of squares of two sides

\sf = \color{orange} {5.0}^{2} + {5.25}^{2} = 52.5625cm

square of other side

\sf = \color{orange} {7.25}^{2} = 52.5625cm

Here, Sum of squares two sides of Triangle is equal to the square of the other side.

____________________

\sf (d) \color{red} 1.6cm,3.0cm \: and \: 3.4cm

Sum of squares of two sides

\sf = \color{red} {1.6}^{2} + {3.0}^{2} = 11.56cm

square of other side

\sf = \color{red} {3.4}^{2} = 11.56cm

Here, Sum of squares two sides of Triangle is equal to the square of the other side.

Here, we observed that the (a),(c) and (d) are the right angled Triangle.
