Their passion for boxing kept them going.It also kept them away from the gangs and drugs.They worked hard relentlessly.After a series of elimination bouts,they were informed that they were going to meet in the division finals-the winner to represent the Boys' Club in the Golden Gloves Championship Tournament.They continued to work out together and made jokes together. they realized that a sense of separation creeping in, in their minds.One morning,less than a week before their bout, They both spoke about it and decided to be detached for sometime.If they continued to be together the contest would end up a damp squib.They were having pulling punches against the opponent-not to hurt his amigo brother.
But they finally proved that they were true sports persons. They both were driven by the passion of true sportsman spirit.They promised not to have pulling punches. They were poised to be two heavy strangers till the bout is over and decided to get into the ring as total strangers.They also go to the extreme of not meeting again till the day of contest.They hug tightly before going away.Both of them started working towards how to have an early and quick knock-out win, not to hurt his opponent.
