Thank you for asking this question from us. Chief Sealth was a great Indian who gave an outdoor speech at Seattle, in front of a large gathering. Governor Isaac called this meeting to discuss the surrender of native land to the white settlers. Chief gave his speech in Lushootseed language and his words were translated as no one could understand the language. In his speech, he was very generous in thanking the white people. He made a comparison of his God and God of the white people and said God is the same. He talked about the brotherhood and he compared the God with the land by saying you think you own God just like you own the land but this is not so. God is same for the red or white people, both are equal for HIM.
