Given :  a four digit even number, less than one-fourth of 12010,  tens digit is twice of  thousands digit,  ones digitis half of twice of  thousands digit . The difference of the numbers  formed by my first two digits   and last two digits is 18

To find : Number

Solution:

I am a four digit number

ABCD

Less than (1/4)(12010) <  3002.5 => ≤ 3002

tens digit is twice of

thousands digit,

C = 2A     A can be 2 , 4    & C Can be  4  &  8    ( as no odd digits used )

A Can not be  4    as number  ≤ 3002

Hence only possibility of A & C

A  = 2   & C = 4

Number Becomes

2B4D

ones digit is half of twice of  thousands digit

=> ones digit same as thousand Digit  ((1/2) * 2 * 2 = 2 )

=> 2B42

numbers  formed by my first two digits = 22

42 - 18  = 24   => B = 4

2442

2442 is the Number
