Kingdom Monera include the Prokaryotic Bacteria and the Blue - Green Algae .
It is mainly divided into two sub - kingdoms : Archaebacteria and the Eubacteria.
° Archaebacteria :
This include the mostly autotrophs .They derive their energy for metabolic activities ,like from reduced gases - Ammonia (NH3) , Methane (CH4) and the Hydrogen Sulphide (H2S) .
They can manufacture their own amino acids and proteins .
They are divided into three groups :
• Methanogens -They manufacture Methane ,as their name suggests .
•Thermoacidophyles - They use Hydrogen Sulphide as energy source .
• Halophiles - They are salt loving and can be aerobic or anaerobic.
° Eubacteria :
These bacterias are composed of cell wall and most of the organelles like the ribosomes.
Their common shapes are the Bacilli , sphere called Cocci and corkscrew Spirilla .
