Function of Gibberellin are:
1) It induces internodal elongation even in genetically dwarf plants and causes elongation in rosette plants.
2) It causes growth of aerial parts.
3) It breaks dormancy of birds and seeds, unlike abscisic acid which promotes dormancy thereby neutralising the effect of abscisic acid.
4) It induces parthenocary.
5) Both gibberellin and cytokinins can delay ageing, unlike ethylene which promotes ageing and senescence
6) Gibberellin promotes maleness in monoeious plants.
