Nervous system consists of special cells called neurons. They have ability to generate and conduct mild electric current whose transmission from one neuron to another is called nerve impulse.

Soma contains cytoplasm, it's organelles and nucleus. Dendrites are much branched thread like projections receiving impulses.

II. ⓐⓧⓞⓝ

Axon is usually unbranched, single, elongated, fiber specialized for conducting impulses, to other neurons. At its terminal end, many branches are given out to form end plate.
