NITROBACTER:

Some functions of nitrobacter are as follows :

>> Nitrobacter has a very important role in the process called nitrogen cycle. It is a nitrogen fixing bacteria. It converts the nitrogen to ammonia which are required by plants. This is called nitrification.

>> Nitrification consists of two steps. In the first step, Nitrosomonas converts ammonia into nitrite. In the second step, Nitrobacter plays a major role in converting nitrite into nitrate.

Thus, it can be concluded that Nitrobacter has a very important role in Nitrogen cycle without which the cycle cannot be completed.
