The myelin allows the electrical impulse to move quickly down the axon. The nodes of Ranvier allow for ions to diffuse in and out of the neuron, propagating the electrical signal down the axon. Since the nodes are spaced out, they allow for saltatory conduction, where the signal rapidly jumps from node to node..

Well bro, have you ever wondered how does the neuron gets oxygen and nutrition as it also needs oxygen to survive.

There are some glial cells that attach to the neuron at the points known as nodes of Ranvier and provide nutrition and oxygen to these neurons.

Hence node of Ranvier act as the junction at which glial cells attach themselves to the neuron. And there are some more functions also like helps the impulse to travel also.
