Pollen tubes are produced by the male gametophytes of seed plants. They act as conduits to transport the male gamete cells from the pollen grain—either from the stigma (in flowering plants) to the ovules at the base of the pistil or directly through ovule tissue in some gymnosperms.

Answer:

The Pollen tube of most seed plants act as a conduit to transport sperm cell from the Pollen grain,either from the stigma(in flowering plants or angiosperms) to the wheels at the base of pistil ,or directly through ovule tissue in some gymnosperm.

The Pollen tube transfer the pollen grain (male part)which has fallenon the stigma to the ovule(female part)inside the ovary through the style resulting in fertilization after the Pollen fuses with the ovule .
