biuret regent is a mixture of sodium hydroxide, copper (II)sulphide and Sodium Potassium tartrate, and it is often used to identify proteins by detecting the presence of peptide bonds........by the way the introduction of Sodium Potassium titrate is to stabilise the cupric ions when not rracting with peptide bonds.
