The Uterus is also called womb. It has 3 walls :
● Outer Perimetrium
● Middle Myometrium
● Inner Endometrium
Function of Uterus:
The endometrium of the uterine wall undergoes changes during each menstrual cycle.
If fertilization occurs the fertilized ovum gets implanted in the inner uterine wall.
Uterus is a place wher the developing embryo gets its nourishment through placenta from mother.
The middle Myometrium has thick layer of smooth muscles which contracts during the delivery of baby.
Fallopian tubes are also called as Oviducts.
It has infundibulum, Ampulla and isthmus.
Function of Oviducts:
The junction between the ampulla and isthmus is called isthmic junction where the egg waits for the sperm and if meets the fertilization takes place here.
