"Functional unit of striated muscle is (d) Sarcomere.

Sarcomeres are the basic units for contraction in striated and cardiac muscles. Each sarcomere has two distinguishing components namely thin filament and thick filament.

Thin filament has two actin strands and titin. Myosin forms a thick filament, which is the ATPase enzyme. Multiple sarcomeres are arranged one above the other to form myofibrils. Bundles of myofibrils form myofibers. Multiple mofibers form a skeletal muscle.
