Answer :

(f/g)(1) = -2/3

Solution :

  • Given : f(x) = x - 3 , g(y) = 2y² + 1
  • To find : (f/g)(1) = ?

We have ,

=> f(x) = x - 3

=> f(1) = 1 - 3

=> f(1) = -2

Also ,

=> g(y) = 2y² + 1

=> g(1) = 2•1² + 1

=> g(1) = 2 + 1

=> g(1) = 3

Now ,

=> (f/g)(1) = f(1)/g(1)

=> (f/g)(1) = -2/3

Hence ,

(f/g)(1) = -2/3
