Flower is the (sexually) reproductive part of the plant.

  • It accommodates the sex organs of plant i.e; stamens and carpels (pistil).
  • It attracts insects and other animals in prior to pollination.
  • It gives nectar.
  • It is the beauty of the plant…:)
  • But remember flower is not a single term…it comprises the petals,sepals,androecium (stamen),gynoecium (carpel) and an ovary with one or many ovules.
  • Each part of a flower has a direct or indirect role in the overall development and survival of the plant.
  • If their is no flower, their are no plants (except the one that reproduce asexually).
