Flower is the (sexually) reproductive part of the plant.
- It accommodates the sex organs of plant i.e; stamens and carpels (pistil).
- It attracts insects and other animals in prior to pollination.
- It gives nectar.
- It is the beauty of the plant…:)
- But remember flower is not a single term…it comprises the petals, sepals, androecium (stamen),gynoecium (carpel) and an ovary with one or many ovules.
- Each part of a flower has a direct or indirect role in the overall development and survival of the plant.
- If their is no flower, their are no plants (except the one that reproduce asexually).
