Location :

Function :

Types of cell present in areolar tissue :

  • Mast cell/ Mastocytes

These cells helps in secretion of three hormones:

★ Histamine

★ Serotonin

★ Heparin

  • Macrophage/ Histrocytes

These are phagocytic.

  • Fibroblasts

These helps in formation of fibres and matrix.

  • Plasma cells/ Cart - wheel cells

These helps in providing antibodies.
