i) It a very narrow blood vessel which has very thin walls.

ii) It forms a network throughout the body in all living cells connecting arteries to veins.

iii) It can dilate or constrict according to the requirement of tissue.

v) It contains mixed blood as it connects arteries and veins

  • it carry blood from heart and transport different part of body .
  • it generally carry oxygenated blood but only pulmonary artery carry deoxygenated blood .
  • it also provide strength to body .

Function of capillary

  • it is thick and narrower part of capillary .
  • it can dilate or constrict according to need of our tissue .
