The function of the ‘Golgi apparatus’ in a cell is the packaging of proteins to be delivered in different parts of the cell for its function.

The Golgi apparatus is a part of the ‘endomembrane system’ which is wholly responsible for the production and delivery of the proteins.

The immature proteins that are received form the endoplasmic reticulum are tagged and packed to be delivered in their place of interest.
